Bunkering Singapore
A one-stop service provider for bunkering in Singapore, Equatorial is one of the few companies to be in control of its entire supply chain. As every aspect of the delivery process is managed by us, our clients can rest assured of the quality and standards of our services and products.
We deploy our fleet of fully-owned and operated bunker tankers to deliver bunkers to our clients’ vessels in Singapore, or Tanjong Pelapas (Malaysia) waters.
All bunker deliveries in Singapore must adhere to the Technical Reference “Bunker Mass Flow Metering” (TR 48 : 2015) and Singapore Standard “Code of Practice for Bunkering” (SS 600 :2014).
With effect from 1 January 2017, it is mandatory to use MPA-approved Mass Flow Meter (MFM) system for all Marine Fuel Oil (MFO) bunker delivery in the Port of Singapore. The mandatory use of MFM will be extended to delivery of distillates from 1 July 2019.
MFM
With effect from 1 January 2017, it is mandatory to use MPA-approved Mass Flow Meter (MFM) system for all Marine Fuel Oil (MFO) bunker delivery in the Port of Singapore. The mandatory use of MFM will be extended to delivery of distillates from 1 July 2019.
We commit to full transparency in our bunker delivery process to our clients through:
- Making Mass Flow Meter data and profiles of bunkers readily available to clients.
- Allowing clients to take manual sounding of barge tanks for reference at their discretion.
E-BDN
With effect from 1 April 2025, as per MPA regulations, bunker suppliers must provide digital bunkering services and issue electronic bunker delivery notes (e-BDNs) by default.
Equatorial has developed our own e-BDN application, which has been approved by MPA for in-house use. While we are not listed among the whitelisted vendors, our application meets the same regulatory requirements as other approved solutions. It has undergone live trials to ensure its functionality and reliability in real-world operations. Additionally, we are certified with ISO27001 and Cyber Trust Mark (CTM) Tier 3, ensuring compliance with security and data standards set forth by MPA.
Customers may refer to the approval letter issued by MPA for confirmation of its approved use.
